• 25th September 2003 appointed the vice president and minister for home affairs following the death of then vice president,kijana wamalwa.

• 2003-1983 served in various ministries as an assistant minister.
• Chairman,NARC summit.

• Qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and the Chartered Institute of Insurance
• Mangu High school—Sat for London Matriculation examination.

Business/Professional Experience:
• Worked and rose to senior positions in the multi-national company Unilever in Kenya, Sri Lanka and United Kingdom.
• He has also worked with various financial institutions in Kenya.
• Also associated with various businesses which include real estate development and the manufacture of construction materials.
• He is a founder member of the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya and the Christian Christian’s Fund where he has been the chairman for 16 years.
• He is also the chairman of the Lions Club of Samia.
