Narc Kenya UK whose Patron is the Minister for defence, Hon. J. N. Karume, E.G.H, M.P. is the official Narc Kenya Party organization for the Millions of
Kenyans living in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Repubic of ireland, Switzerland and Elsewhere. We work to advance the principles of our Party by spreading the Narc Kenya message to Kenyans in the Diaspora and encouraging them to support our president, H.E.MWAI KIBAKI.on his re-election bid and to vote for all Narc Kenya candidates back home.
It has committees throughout Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Antipodes. These Committees keep Kenyans in the Diaspora well informed of their rights and help them participate in the Kenyan political process. Currently a small support office is maintained in Reading, Berks.
The Kenyans in Diaspora have a unique make up -- the combined strength of a vibrant student community as well as a substantial number of ex-pats/professionals. The group grew rapidly during 2006-7 and we plan to carry that momentum forward into the Dec 2007 General Elections!
Narc Kenya UK has grown dramatically since it’s inception in January 2006 and it aims to serve as a focal point for expatriate Kenyans, and students in the European Union, and in the USA. The chapter has held a variety of events such as debate screenings and candidate conference calls.
Its past and future activities among them its official launch in Mid August have also featured in a recent KTN TV documentary aired in Kenya under the title Kenyans Living abroad, It also holds regular networking barbeque sessions for its members.
The Executive Committee holds regular meetings at the renaissance Hotel in Reading, Berks, RG1 7RH.
The chapter is working hard to raise voter awareness and increase voter registration among local Kenyans, and to tap into the Kenyans in Diaspora’s immense financial muscle by encouraging them to use these to influence the voting patterns back home.
The results would ensure their hard earned cash remains safe and secure when invested in a country whose political leadership and environment would be conducive for investment and to ensure the continuation of the ongoing, rapid and unprecedented Economic growth.
It is written: “as it was so shall it be. And if it’s not broken why fix it?”
